What is the school about?
This international school provides an overview of modern methods used for description of the ground and excited states with a
focus on multiconfigurational methods. The teaching is not limited to the lectures about the
methods, but it also includes intensive hands-on sessions.
For whom it may be interesting?
PhD students and postdocs working in the fields of chemistry, physics, materials science, etc., both experimental and theoretical.
The admission to the school will be made based on applications (CV and a letter of recommendation).
The Workshop philosophy is based on problem oriented learning.

- The methods for the electronic structure calculations
- Single reference methods and response theory
- Multiconfigurational theory: the past, present and future
- Electronic structure properties and spectroscopy

The costs
- Conference fee: 400 EUR
- The conference fee covers the conference room, coffee breaks, lunches, conference dinner and excursion.
The accommodation is paid separately. The venue (to be announced soon) offers a reduced rate for participants.
Practical information and deadlines
- The school will take place from 28/09 (Monday) from 9.00, thus it is advisable to arrive on Sunday.
The school will end at 2/10 (Friday) at 16.00.
