The problem has been fixed in MOLCAS 5.4.

However, you can easily make a fix - standard errno function is used to make a nice print out about I/O problems. And in some Linux installations this routine was moved to another location, not included into library path.
Simply comments all calls to errno - it will not change functionality.

BTW, coming soon MOLCAS 6 was tested with Mandrake 10, but I will not be surprized, if molcas 5.2 has some problems - because of the GNU compiler. In this case, you can try to install older GCC/G77
